Lyme Disease Support Group
Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.

Hi Everyone,
I've recently tested positive for Lyme and haven't started treatment yet. I've been ill for 2 1/2 years and about 3-4 months ago, my neck started cracking and now my back is cracking too. It seems to be getting worse, if someone hugs me or when I sometimes move, my back will crack. I've read that this is a Lyme symptom. I'm hoping that this isn't going to cause permanent damage somehow. Will it stop once I'm into the treatment? Is anyone experiencing the same? My neck and shoulders are constantly sore as well. Thanks.

I crack everywhere too. I hate it when my neck bones in front crack. It fells so nasty. As far as I know I dont think it has done any damage just from cracking. Now my knees and ankles are a different story they constantly hurt. Yes my neck always hurt before I started treatment it took awhile for it to feel better but eventually it has and it only hurts occasionaly now. Hope that you start to feel better soon :)

Oh, yes! I've probably had undiagnosed lyme for 20 years and my neck cracks, my back, my wrists, my ankles and my hips feel sore. I can't stand to get a hug, as it pops my back and neck out - as well as driving over a bumpy road in a car does, too. It's awful - but now, after treating for one and a half years, it's getting less and my back and neck are slowly getting stronger......hugs, CJ

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
