OK, Guys I really, really need your your help. It's my husband. He just doessss nott understand. he has just dosent get it.he thinks I am a bit of a drama queen. believes 2-4 weeks of rocephin will cure me of this "minor" inconvienience of a disease (my words not his, I'm a little defensive right now)I hurt just about all the time, he thinks, or should I say, it seems to me, he thinks this lyme stuff is no biggie. he has done some research on the internet, I keep suggesting specific sites and he skims them and googgles others, mostly government sites like CDC. He means well, he just can't see what I'm feeling. I am stage 3 with neurologic involvement. I am 8 days into IV rocephin treatment. there are no LLMD's in my area, closest being 4 hours away. I get winded walking a flight of stairs, I jurt almost all the time, if I ask for pain medicine he thinks I don't need it. he thinks some exercise would do me good! please help me! I made a chat site and am going there now, if you are on can you come there please? I am planting him next to me.....maybe your stories will help him understand, he really does care....

I understand your struggle. It is so hard to understand Lyme disease. Most of us look so healthy. I'd hate to have facial palsy but then you have visible sign of illness.

If I hear one more time - "but you look great!" Or "Oh you are still sick"

Check out some of the videos on youtube. put lyme in the search box and see how much you get. many are newsclips from TV.

H, I was so happy to find a chat on Lyme, and then no one was home, lol! There's a good book called Just Fine, I got on amazon used. It's about looking fine with chronic illness. I hear that all the time, "but you look great". Well I feel like shit...ok! Well I guess if I have to be sick, I'm glad I don't look as bad as I feel. Seems my sister is the only one that can look at me at any given time, and know how bad I'm doing. I'm new here, & I'm trying to make new friends with people that get it, and maybe get some advice. Hopefully i can find someone in the chat room later.
