have not been diagnosed with pancreatitis but have had severe pain in the upperepigastric region on and off for several years. not sure how long I have had lyme disease at least 2years. Was diagnosed with Epstein Barr about 1yr ago also.

Next visit to doc, have them check your lipase levels. maybe mention my connection. My doc said it is not the typical reaction to lyme, and that is is a very serious complication.

about 6 months into my lyme treatment my gall bladder filled with sludge and had to be removed. prior to the scheduled surgery i doubled over in pain and spent 4 days in hospital with pancreatitis and then had my gall bladder removed. My liver function has been up and down.

A good friend with lyme had very poor liver function when he was diagnosed with lyme. they did various things to strengthen his liver function before treating the lyme. (They also wanted to get his diabetes better regulated before lyme treatment,

I know that I have had intermittant swelling of the spleen and liver and I thought that it was due to them working over time to rid my body of the dead spirochetes. I didn't know this was an issue to be worried about. I will check with my doc on Wed. I also have had Mono and Fibre as well.

I have looked at so many web sites to see of anyone else who had had pancreatitis and lyme. My 17 yr old daughter has lyme (for the last 3.5 yrs) and was recently diagnosed. She also has Epstein Barr Virus, cytomegalovirus, and just before the tick bite 3 yrs. ago she was bit by a mosquito and contracted West Nile Virus. Her immune system is completely compromised with all these viruses. She has had pancreatitis 6 times in the last 8 months and every other symptom under the sun. Also 3 months my daughter said she wasent feeling good and couple minutes later she began coughing up huge amounts of blood clots. Rushed her to ER and they brought almost 2 pints of blood clots from her stomach, did an emergency scope and found her entire stomach lining had ulcerations. She has also been getting ulcers in her mouth and nose amongst dozens of other symptoms. I have had the same symptoms for the past 4 years and no doctor is able to figure out what is happening ( aside from saying it’s the Lyme and co-infectors causing this). I’ve been on different meds/supplements but this continues to happen. The pain has been so bad that I’ve passed out several times from it. What do you find helps?
