I would start off slow with the green juice as it is quite potent!
i saw a documentary on it called 'gerson miracle' (on netflix)
the basis for the treatment is juicing and they have great recipes for detox and energy.
although im alittle skeptical or whether or not the therapy is a cure all it seems to help alot of people.
im saving to get a juicer now! the benefits of raw food are too good to pass up!
I bought some expensive green powder (dehydrated veggies) from whole foods- my plan was to add a scoop to the last bit of my carrot/apple/beet mixture, so I could just gag down some of it and not ruin the entire drink (because I don't like the taste) - But my dog stole it out of the cupbord and ate the whole canister! I hope it helped his health!
My mother in law juices greens every morning (usually from her garden) and while she was never overweight, she is now quite slender and in excellant health and she attributes to juicing.
BTW- Beets are very easy to grow, and a winter crop...
again and am really liking it. I also do
a few carrots, apples, sometimes parsley and
and celery. Othertimes I add a cucumber.
Someone referred me to Body Ecology website
where I believe there's a recipe for 'green
drink'. All of these things help the body
detox and they're loaded with minerals.
I had to be careful of too much sugar
so sometimes I avoid carrots or beets.
I'm sure you'll find what works for
you. Like one of the people said, there's no 'one' cure but everything helps.
