Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.
Well it was exactly one decade ago today that I got the call. High lyme titer on the LUAT test. It's been one hell of a ride. The first two years were full of constant sleeping and fatigue. Then came the constant pain, the headaches, the difficulty remembering things and the difficulty walking.
I'm better when compared to those days, but I am nowhere close to being "cured" or feeling "ok". I have difficulty sleeping, I'm always tired, I have problems with my memory, I have heart palpitations, joint pain, headaches every time a weather front comes through, muscle pain, and a bunch more symptoms. It's been easier to deal with since I started taking darvon regularly, but it's still there. I still can't work, I haven't gotten my high school diploma yet(but I'm a lot closer, one more course) and I'm on disability at a whopping 493 dollars a month. More then half my life I've been chronically ill, hell of a thing at 25.

I too suffer from Migraines due to weather fronts and I never use to. Weird isnt it?? Hang in there we will make it one day:)
