Lyme Disease Support Group
Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.
From 2010 in New Hampshire, which is a hotbed of Lyme infection.

There are a few problems with that page, in my mind---- for instance saying that '[ticks] also can pounce from overhead as someone passes beneath a tick-inhabited tree branch.'
Ticks don't 'pounce' ---- they 'quest' from grasses/shrubs etc and have learned that's the best way to find a 'victim'. A reasonable suggestion for why on earth a tick would be up in a tree is---- birds carry ticks. Ticks could fall off a bird after repletion or be scratched off.
Other than that a few other fairly minor nit-picks it's a good article. Has anyone talked to Carl Tuttle? I've lost track of him and I don't live on the East coast.

I read the Dept of HHS's reply to Tuttls letter, also. Sounded like the typical BS reply which means they will be doing nothing but going thru the motions and collecting their tax payer supported govt checks.
As usual, we must help ourselves and look for REAL LLMDs who can at least TRY to help us.
As I heard again this am on a radio show and have heard at least a 100x, the scariest words in the English language are;" I am from the govt and I am here to help you". YIKES!
