aww..that sucks about the ruby tuesday incident. yes, i have the twitches sometimes. at first i thought it was me making myself twitch but soon i realized it was prob associated with the sickness. i also have bad neck pain..since i've been sick. its hard for me to turn my head to check like if i can pass a car or just too look out side windows. and i'm always tired lately.

I notice this the most when I go to bed. My fingers, hands, and legs twitch. Not a lot yet, thank goodness.

Happens to me too... At bed.. and then the last few months I've noticed it at other times.. annoying..

I have tendonitis really bad, which I've heard is common for Lupies.
I don't really twitch but I can be carrying something and my hand spazes out, or I'll get a sharp pain, like I think a tazer would feel. I get these in my elbows as well. My neck also freezes up.
Other times I can't feel what I'm carrying, so will use both hands. I've crushed and/or broken things because I can't gauge the force I'm using. Mostly try to fake it, it is embarrassing when you drop a glass of wine and people look at you like your drunk.

I'm glad to hear other people experience twitching. I have been afraid to mention this to my doctor for fear it was a symptom for Parkinson's disease. Glad to hear it is common to Lupus.

I have the twitches too...felt like I was turning into a spaz until my doc saw it and told me it was due to my Hashimoto's thyroiditis...another autoimmune disease! I totally didn't know until I started reading posts on here that multiple autoimmune diseases was a common thing for us Lupy folks. Now my twitching is to a minimum as long as I take my meds for it! So the next time you get blood work it may benefit to ask your doc to check for that too as it is an additional test they have to request that's separate from the usual thyroid test.

I have a seizure disorder, but its only myoclonic seizures. Here is a video of me having one. It's involuntary twitching, much like what happens when your really tired and you start to fall asleep then jerk yourself up. I once twitched a glass across the room. ps. my seizures were identified with abnormal slowing in the left side of my brain.

The twitches are part of a Neuropathy problem. I have had them along with pain in my legs for years. The doctor put me on Topamax 200mg and I have no more problems and it helps with headaches. Hope this helps!
