I have experienced this quite often, notice more when humidity is up, don't know if part of flare or just weather, doc did prescribe a water pill, when asked for it. Putting feet up helps and ice . Sorry not much help.

I have noticed the same problem and in my case it "only" happens in summer, especially on a hot day when I was outside and I can remove my rings only with the help of lots of soap and water, because my fingers are very much swollen....
I wonder whether this problem is connected with my SLE/MCTD plus my failing kidney function and is due to water retention because of my failing kidney function? (I am not on dialysis yet, but the day of my having to start with dialysis is not that far away any longer...)
I have asked many doctors about this problem in the past, but have received no conclusive medical answer and perhaps you are luckier when you ask your doctors/specialist/nephrologist?.

Please let us know what your doctor/rheumatologist/specialist says.

I have been having the same problem for years. It was especially bad this weekend as I started moving on Thursday night and then Friday night and again Saturday morning. Sunday I was unpacking. By the end of the day on Sunday, it hurt to talk and my ankles and feet were so swollen they were bruised. I had a warm bath with epsom salt and that took away the pain and most of the swelling. I hope that helps.

Yes this also happens to me all the time. It is very annoying and makes you feel like you are fatter than you are.... I had to get my wedding rings resized as they would not go over my knuckles anymore. I agree with the heat and humidity makes it worse and I also take a fluid pill on days when it is worse.
