I'm wondering if anyone else experiences sores in the nose, and if so, how they are manifested. I have open sores inside my right nostril that never, ever go away. I'm talking years. If I bump my nose it will start bleeding, then scab over, but it still never goes away. I have never mentioned it to my doc, although I probably should. Was just wondering about others experiences. Thanks!

I get them too.They are very painful and last a long time but never as long as yours have.I get the scabs and sometimes just a deep cut that burns.

I've had them for months and months and months. In fact, I have one in my right nostril now and it hurts. Only thing I've found to get rid of them is some type of steroid cream on it. It was a prescription I got for some type of skin ailament I had.

sores in nose is listed as one of the symptoms of Lupus.

I am not diagnosed but I do get them in my right nostril.

Yup. I get them. So far the one in my right nostril has been there for 7 months. I'm getting sick of it...and I should buy stock in tissues.

Other than the steroid cream has anyone found anything else to help soothe them??

My doc has a special "concoction" that I use as steroid cream hasn't worked for me. I'll ask if it's available online or something. It does help the burning...healing, not so much.

Nose sores are very common with Lupus and many other inflammatory diseases. Speak to your doctor, there probably is no "cure" but a cream will definitely help. I tend to only get them if run down or in a "flare", so maybe get some bloods done, could be you need some antibiotics or if no infection and antifungal (noses are damp places). Hope you find some relief.

Keeping my nostrils from getting too dry helps. I use Ayr gel, and Xclear spray, as well as a saline solution I mix from 1/8 salt, 1/8 baking soda to 1 cup bottled, not tap water. I also have to use a humidifier in the winter when the heat is on.

I recently got one on my ear, to combat it I used a mix of coconut oil (raw) and tea tree oil. I don't use steroids unless absolutely necessary, but they are there if you need them!

I get them often and they come on pretty quick as well! I use Vaseline and that helps mine. My dr says its dryness so if you lubricate it, it will get better.

I have Fibromyalgia .And maybe Lupus ..have all the symptoms ..i have a sore in my now and they can really get sore too ..

Went to the doctor the other day ..he gave me some Mupirocin cream use it twice a day ..it keeps it from hurting so bad ..grrr hugs to all ..

I get them to, and the steroids or anti malarials don't help either :(
Get yourself an aloe vera plant...It smells a bit funny,lol, but put a little of the goo from the plant (by breaking a stem) on the nose sores,its really sothing, and promotes speedy healing :) xx natures little miricals...xxxx

I get them too! Take forever to heal. I put antibiotic ointment on them during the day. At least helps with less scab build up and seems to help some of the pain from tight dryness of scab.
