Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.
I am so sorry you are sick to your stomach so much. To me, there is nothing so bad as being sick all time. I hope and pray you will get better soon.
Seems like I have read here where others say this goes along with lupus sometimes and with some people. If this is very severe, or very upsetting you need to let your dr know. Maybe he can find the source or tell you it is something to be expected. (I hope not) I hope he can give you something or suggest something to change in your lifestyle that might help.
My prayers are with you. Keep looking up. That's where the Light is!
"If you feel pain in the area beneath your right rib, this can be a sign of a gallbladder disorder. The pain can also occur between the blades of your shoulders. Headache is also a common symptom. You may also experience nausea, gas, diarrhea or constipation. Your stool color may change into a considerably lighter color. Another symptom that commonly occurs is rather unpleasant burping, especially after meals. It can be followed by an uncomfortable felling that your stomach is too full."

I also seem to have some kind of GERD thing going on. I can't drink orange juice or eat raw onions. I also have to be really careful with coffee and black teas (both very acidic, even if decaf). I try to only drink them if I am *really* craving one or *really* need the caffeine. Even then, I can only have one or two cups every few days. If I really need caffeine and I know my stomach won't tolerate more coffee or tea, I take 1/4 of a 200mg caffeine pill which is equivalent to approximately 8 ounces of coffee.
Many culinary herbs and spices were originally used as medicines.
Haven't posted here in ages, but decided to check back in here since I do believe we all need the support of others who feel like we do. Regarding your nausea, I know what you are going through and I can tell you that most likely, it is just lupus and is called "lupus nausea". I have it every day, sometimes all day and sometimes once or twice a day. Rarely does it skip a day. Sometimes I am so sick my head feels "swimmy", if you know what I mean. I don't throw up either, but wish it would and maybe I'd feel better.
I have had all the gallbladder tests and everything you can check with the digestive system and everything is okay. Doc put me on phenegram, which really didn't help that much. My niece which has vertigo and gets nauseated alot told me about the Walmart brand "motion sickness" pills. THEY WORK WONDERFULLY! I usually only need one, but there are times when I do have to take two, but that's rare. They are so cheap too. Comes 100 in the bottle and they were less than $5.00. May have gone up a little. Our store was out of them for a while and I thought I would go crazy, so when they finally got them in I purchased 5 bottles to make sure I never ran out again. They are just called, "Motion Sickness" pills and located where Dramamine is. They are in a bottle, not a box. Try these and see how it works for you. They may make you sleepy at first, but I have taken them for so long now, one usually does not put me to sleep. Two definitely will make you sleep. At first, don't drive or do things where it would be dangerous if you fell asleep until you see how you react to them. But I can promise you I will never be without them again! I hope this works for you as it is a miserable feeling.
