Hi everyone,
I have been lurking around reading your posts & they are very helpful. As I said I havent been dx yet. My Dr & also my neurologist have both said I may have lupus or fibromyalgia or other things. I have already been dx with ms but they think I have something else as well & Lupus seems to be the most likely according to them. I am very sensitive to the sun & glare. I get a rash but instead of going accross both cheeks mine is on the right side cheekbone area around the eye & forehead & occasionaly the left side too. I get very red very quickly when in warm or hot areas & my whols body goes read & hot, my arms & face look like I have got severe sunburn. I feel like I am burning up.
My whole body aches, legs, arms, feet esp left side which is the worse with ms. My right eye almost shuts & flickers lots when I am tired, or using the computer for long, or in the sun. I also have irritable bowel, excema, , asthma, & hemiplegic migraines. it makes it hard for the Dr to tell what is what. I am forever having tests to try to work out what is happening.
Guess what I am asking is does this sound like I might have lupus to any of you? I am very frustrated at the not knowing yet again. Feel like I am one of those wheels running around & around all the time.

Have you ever been tested for Celiac Disease? It is also an auto-immune disease which can have a lot of similar symptoms as lupus. The good news is that it is treated and controlled by a gluten free diet. No meds necessary. The other good news is that a gluten free diet has also proved to help ALOT of MS patients! The bad news is that it can be difficult to stay on a strict gluten free diet. Its actually not too bad once you get use to what you can and cant have. I also have Celiac disease. Do me a favor and make sure that your doctors have tested you for this. They can do an actual celiac blood panel and also do the IGG/IGA anti-gliaden antibody blood test. Google Celiac Sprue disease. There is a great site by the celiac sprue society (I think thats the name). You may be surprised reading all the symptoms CD can cause. Also look at GF diets and MS.

Earthwalker I am sorry that you are being tested for ms as that is a horrid disease too & unfortunately often people get more than one autoimmune disease.
At least I know the neurologist I am back with will check for everything. At the moment getting all my records back to him from city neurologist I went to for a while.
Are the burn like marks like really dark bruises? I ask because I get a lot of really dark bruises appear that are like a deep purple/black & can appear all over the body. No dr has been able to work out what causes them except some form of blood disorder maybe.
I dont see my neurologist till end of feb anyway.
