So should moonface from pres be painful?? Ive been on it long enough at a high dose that I'm sure I have swelling from that, but my face is so swollen and sore! I was down to 20mg pres and rheum kicked it back io to 40mg when I was so swollen sou assumed it was lymph nodes but my mom an rn brought up moonface...I hurt from the front of my ears down to neck front and under jaw. Hurts to swollow sometimes, feels like my face is tearing up at others...anywho I suppose I should hither my rheum. Again, but I miserable right now sigh. 1000 Mg naproxen a day and 2000mg tylenol(staggered) a day as well as heat pack and 35mg pres. I know there is some node swelling as groom/armpits are tender but if it is just pres effects I could convince myself to stick it out tip I fully taper, any advice?sorry about the rant...

Hi Afriel,I do not get the moon face with pred. just huge weight gain but since we seem to feel pain differently it would make since that it could hurt but I do think you should call the dr. and do not ever just stop pred. always taper or you could have some very life threatening problems,let us know what you find out good luck and merry christmas,Cindy

Hi I have been on prednisone a long time you need to see your doctor sooner rather than later. Please talk to doc about how much continuous Tylenol use is ok. Done now I have now had pain with prednisone because of swelling ever I have picture you can see the cheeks. Anyway sounds more like infection or something else but not prednisone what happens with prednisone is a different process mostly. I am an err on the side of Caution person. Hope you find viral issue that will go away with a little help. Please let me know if doc thinks it is prednisone causing pain so I know I gave crappy advice thanks have a great Christmas.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
