Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.
Now Im like a kitten, weak, defenceless dont want to offend, these people are there for me when am sick, looking after me, I feel I owe them something.
Its must be the meds but I feel if I dont please my family no one will be there when am bad , sounds like anxiety I know.
I know they will no matter what, but I dont want to seem ungrateful, gosh how I have changed and how this illness has changed me.
My nick name at work used to be the shark, snappy and straight to the point.
I challenged discrimination for a living, I feel like am losing the mission.

I too have the same issue with my family...they are always there for me and I hate to let them down. Also our gatherings always happen in my home...I love to cook and entertain. That is until the last 5 years..my lupus took a change for the worse and it actually makes me ill to have everyone over and the stress of it. thanksgiving was to much...19 people and 2 days of cooking!!! By Saturday I was unable to walk. I just would like the understanding from my family this has to stop. I want to be the way I was...but I am now this way. I would love for someone else to take over..oh sigh. It won't happen....but I will ask for more help. And everyone will bring food. And when I need a break I won't feel guilty about laying down in the afternoon.
Strength to you...we do need to learn to take care of ourselves first or what do we really have to offer.

Christmas boy without all your wonderful support and talking to my hubby about my discussions on here on the things you have advised, this Christmas would have been terrible thank you x thank you so much x
