Hello again-
I currently have a really sore mouth. Looked where its sore and there are what looks like a bunch of little blisters about the size of pin heads inside my lips. Is this a lupus thing?
I also have been getting getting bad indigestion- reflux thing and also a really really sore stomach. Its just under my ribs. That's where stomach ulcer pain is located.
Also I am experiencing a mild relapse of the symptoms of lupus attacking my brain- my joints are very sore- bit scared about a patch of skin looking very lupus rash like as well
I had a week where I was pretty bad with taking my plaquenil- maybe missed it 5 out of 7 days. Been taking it regularly for 4 days again- (I know it can take 6 weeks to get into your system- but then wouldn't it take ages to get out too?) I guess my other question is this-
Do you think I just need to take my plaquenil regularly or do you think I am experiencing a flare and need some other medications? I won't be able to see the rheumy again til the 5th DECEMBER!!! What do I do???

I know I am supposed to take the plaquenil daily- but I get forgetful :(
Because of this I have just filled up a pill box so hubby can check and remind if necessary. Also I find if the plaquenil is WITH the pain meds I won't forget them since pain prompts me to take the meds for that. Since I don't notice the immediate effects with plaquenil its easy for me to forget. Plaquenil also seems to keep me awake so I won't take it after lunch even if I remember.
So- what do we do about mouth sores? Just the "normal" things like a mouth paint or something that you would use if you bit your tongue? or do I need to go see my doc about them specifically? Sorry about all the questions but I am new to this :(

My rheumy recommended L-Lysine 500 mg twice daily for mouth sires. It doesn't get rid of all of them, but I have noticed a difference. You can find them in the vitamin section.

I hope this will help you,I haven't tried it yet still finishing off a bottle from my doctor,my dr.also told me some of my sores could be from prednisone but /i don't no I get them if I am on or off it,good luck feel better,Cindy
It's equally important not to stop the drug abruptly.
