I'll add my vote for ginger. I keep candied ginger in a jar in the fridge...it keeps a long, long time. I put crushed and minced ginger in my soups and stir fries too. I saw a research paper comparing ginger and Dramamine for motion sickness...the ginger worked just as well as the Dramamine.

I've had a lot of trouble with nausea. When I'm in a flare, I get nauseous after meals. I used to have occasional bouts of nausea that went on for days, couldn't even keep water down. When that happened, the docs would give me prochlorperazine, which worked every time.

It used to be available under the brand name Compazine, but that's not available anymore...so ask for the actual name as a generic. It's like a wonder drug for me. I just hate nausea.

It's available as a suppository in case you can't hold anything at all down. The dose has to be doubled in suppository form, some docs don't know that...found that out the hard way when it didn't work for me as a suppository.

Buy ginger tea and peppermint tea - the combo helps nausea.

Ginger ale, and Zofran, I personally like Zofran better than Phenergan because it doesn't have any side effects like the sleepiness from Phenergan. :)

Jamaican Ginger Ale, ginger candy and gelatine capsules with ginger. Also, if the homeopathic remedy Nux Vomica. When I was younger I used to take the smallest puff of marijuana. The point was not to be stoned, but a little bit did really did help when nothing else would and I think ultimately it would be better than the "zine" drugs.

My vote is for the ginger and peppermint tea. There are also ginger candies that are so so.
Also, chewing mint sugarless gun helps me a lot.

Is nausea common with lupus??? I have been struggling with this so badly! It hurts when I eat as well ( I worry I have crohns like my sibling)..
