Hip Pain?

Do any of yall have hip pain with all of this? I have had wrist and knee pain all along, with elbow and clavicle pain when things get really flared.. I have had a flare of everything including my GI issues, so haven't been absorbing my plquenil and boy my joints hurt! my fingers- any break I've ever had and right now my hips.. didn't know if lupus usually affects these large joints like that?

I read online that hips are usually not part of the joint pain with lupus, but I however experience hip pain and my rheumatologist said it is possible and he has a couple patients like me with similar complaints. I feel like no 2 people have exactly the same symptoms with lupus. And I feel like the severity and degree to which the symptoms can affect your daily life varies. I have come to feel that with Lupus, anything is possible.

I have had lupus for almost 10 years now and have always had hip pain as one of my symptoms and it gets worse when I am experiencing a flare.

I made the mistake of saying to my fianc just last week, "At least my hips don't hurt!" because it seemed like lupus had attacked all of my other joints.

And then I woke up yesterday morning with extreme right hip pain. I think I was flaring from the weather we were having, but yes, it has gone to my hip :( Just my right side..

I've had hip and lower back pain for a while and finally insisted that my rheum start figuring out what's wrong. It turns out my sacro ilial joint has some malfunction that's twisting my pelvis. PT is working beautifully!

Thank yall so much!! It's weird that the pain was so bad for a few days (all of my joints were awful).. and now hardly any joint pain, none in the hips! I was exposed heavily to the flu right before the flare (my kids had it and coughed in my face a bunch).. I never got sick, but my body got mad - I suppose it stimulated my immune system and it went a little haywire!

I have lupus 22 years and I have had joint pain in my feet ,hands ankles,toes, fingers , hands,knees hips. If you take steroids on and off or if taking them for awhile on of the side affects is bone loss.I now have bone loss in my hips. I take a calcium supplement and vitamin D3 and magnesium to help and reverse bone loss. You should discuss this with your Doctor.
