We got into the Doctor that we wanted to see from the beginning, and what a better experience. They talked to us, did a physical exam, talked some more, and then finally we got down to brass tacts. Dx positive for Fibromyalgia, Dx unknown for Lupus Nephritis. In the 2 different blood panels that have been done, Tracy has has 3 tests for anti-dsDNA, 2 of the three came back positive, one negative. This has the doctor a little puzzled. So to solve the puzzle they are going to try and play the system (Ins is such a gem) and get a blood sample to a Lab in California that is "the best in the world" for these lupus tests. To do this we are going to have to jump thought hoops, so it may be fun, but heck, this doc is doing SOMETHING!

On top of that the doc wants do everything she can to treat Tracy's Pain, Exhaustion, and maybe headaches. They offered up Massage, Acupuncture and a IV Vitamin routine (murphy's?). In this treatment Tracy will get an IV once a week filled with vitamins and other goodies. Apparently treating this way gets the good directly to the cells the fastest without interference from the digestive system. Once she is done breast feeding they will reevaluate the treatments (oh and we should have a good Dx on Lupus by then).

I am excited that they may have something that may help the pain and headaches! her first treatment is tomorrow, with a follow up and second treatment on Wednesday. Then she will go weekly on Wednesday for the IV with her Mom (Mixed connective tissue disease).

Finally forward progress... Oh the doc said straight up, the first blood plus clinical would have given Lupus Dx, but the second bloods cast some doubt, so the third blood work will tell the tale, for now at least.
