for the past month i have problems off an on with intense eye pain in one eye only. it feels like i have sand and pepper in my eye. it will come on sharp and out of no where. It will hurt so bad that i cant open my eye. when my husband looks in my eye he said its red and swollen looking. I end up going to bed when it happens so i can just keep it closed. The weird thing is, it goes away on its own without sterorids. Any ideas?

go to the doctor asap,it is probably nothing but don't take a chance a licensed optathmologist is the only one who care care for serious eye problems,call your rhuemie in the am and have him refer you,I have dealt with this twice now the first time I let it go way to long,one little thing I have figured out is if eye drops hurt when I use them it is bad but don't take my word for it I am not a doctor but please please please call one in the morning,it is better to be safe then sorry,keep me posted,Cindy

my eye doctor was kind enough to work me in today and she said my tear ducks are swollen so i havent been getting enough tear production. she gave me some over the counter drops, called systane and they feel pretty good so far. I also got some drops called blink. Its a gel i will put in before i go to bed. She also said to use the systane daily to avoid swelling in the eyeball itself due to lack of tears.

I am so glad you went in,as I said better safe then sorry,I use blink myself,I spent 2 hrs today at my eye dr.my eye is improving but my vision isn't ,I can still only read the line below the E so its just a waiting game if I will end up with permanent damage.So glad you are okay,Cindy

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
