Crying all the time

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem I was in that I cry all the time. Thats not to say that I am depressed or sad all the time-Im not. Its just that I cry over everything. At least a few times a day I will find myself bawling my eyes out over nothing. A lot of the time its not even something sad that triggers me, it could be something kind, or beautiful or something that should be just mildly upsetting. This is not normal for me. I never used to be a crier at all and suddenly I just can't stop. I don't know if this is related to my lupus or not, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this or similar emotional responses that were strange to them.

I'm not crying constantly, but am MUCH MORE SENSITIVE to both joy/sad triggers. I just so ahead and cry and don't question it. Lupus manifests itself in so many ways and with inflammation rising and falling, it may be causing changes in our brain chemistry. I have other causes of crying in my life, so not sure if SLE is the culprit. Emval, Lupus IS enough to make a grown woman cry! At least you're not alone, I'm crying too! Take care, Joleen

It happens reading a sweet text from my husband. Or looking at our getting-ancient dog. But, I have the Neurological Lupus problems - headaches, anxiety disorder, depression, cognitive dysfunction, and mood disorder.

Yesterday, found out that my sister, who has had Myasthenia Gravis for 20 years and FMS for 10, and lots of other stuff, has SLE and Discoid Lupus, and I while reading up on the Discoid, I started by just weeping and when I saw the pics, I went into full-on hysterics. My husband had to take my notebook away from me and close it. Not only is the Discoid going to disfigure her face, its going to be painful... I only cried about it twice, today.

Yes. Lupus can affect mood, and it is such a b... of an illness that it sometimes reduces me to tears. My problem is that nobody really understands what I am going through.
I go to my MD appts. by myself. I am frustrated with my family not really recognizing how hard this is.
I work and nobody there really knows what is going on. With employers the way they are I am afraid to reveal too much.
So there, a lot of pressure caused by the illness in addition to extreme fatigue, pain and cognitive symptoms can definitely get us all bawling.
