you need to go back to the doctor and tell them that you did not understand what they told you. Tell them you need things written down and explained better. We arent doctors here and our advice is not the one you should be seeking. In an abstract, your results could mean many things.

I'm going through the same thing. I've been searching online for interpretations of the score. I'd definitely make another appt to go go over those area in bold. Let me say, my doctor seems to hate reading through blood tests herself. It appears from my research that nothing is black and white. I'm on the borderline and or positive when it comes to the ANA test results. I honestly don't care. I know what the symptoms are, (my hospitalization, fatique, malar rash, baldness, sharp pains all over, chest pains, headaches, fever, blah blah), and I know what I feel. My doctor is confident that I have Lupus, and is treating the disease. The fact that she is treating the symptoms, she is compassionate and gives me good advise on how to prevent the compliations, I don't need a test to prove anything else. Lets be real; this disease is not curable! What wiill a "official" diagnosis do for me? Not much more. I'm going to go to these doctors and keep an eye on my symptoms. What is the benefit? I am suprised it takes so much effort to prove the obvious. I swear, these test make you feel like a hypochondriac, like you begin to think its all psychological. I have to look at the hospital discharge papers at times, to remember that I was in bad shape, and there is definitely something wrong with me. I'm just so angry, that I just am not going to place much emphasis on getting the diagnosis,just give me the meds and I'll figure out the rest later. Okay vent over! I think that if you want to know you should go back to the doctor or take the results to another doctor to review.

Thanks Tie for your response. That's nice that you have a doctor that listens. I was thinking of going to another doctor with the results but wasn't sure. That's why I asked about what these were before to kind of have an idea of what they are.

I feel like I have been on a rollarcoaster since going to the dermatologist for a rash that I got after being in the sun. I have always gotten sick from the sun with a rash, but never thought about going to the doctor until lately since the rash has been getting worse each year.

To be honest, I am so tired of going to the doctors!! I like the more natural medicine way and mainstream doctors with their medicines kind of scare me anyway.
