I don't take that medicine, however I just had a conversation this week with my dr about not wanting to bother him. He told me, some of his patients, with waayyy less stuff going on then me, email him like 18x a day! I email him, or ask for a phone apt once a month, if that. I like email, cuz the drs usually get back to me within 1-2 days. Really, try not to think you are a bother, you want to understand what is going on with your health and that is awesome. Being proactive is the best way to be :)

I'm just gonna take my first pill tonight. I now have migraine headaches which at first I thought it was my lupus attacking my brain. I saw a neurologist today and he said it doesn't seem to be lupus related. He has several patients with lupus and seems to know alot about it. He said that alot of lupus patients get major to migraine headaches because of the stress of having a chronic illness and then I have my brother committing suicide last year, going through menopause, my daughter abandoning me for a guy, being single and having to work to pay for my meds. I'm strong but can't seem to handle the pressure anymore. He told me that this med, increased over time will help with the headaches in a few weeks and will help me sleep much better which will help me feel better. I hope it does work.

I don't like being a bother to my specialists either but I've found my rheumatologist is very helpful through email since I only get to see her twice a year. My GP knows nothing about lupus and the kidney clinic only knows about kidneys. If I start feeling something out of the ordinary, I send my rheumy an email to find out what I should do and if it is something lupus related. It gives me peace of mind and keeps her informed about my progress. She has commented "I remember in an email you said this, how is that doing now?" I may have forgotten about that particular incident so it keeps her more informed as well.
