B-12 Injections

Has anyone had B-12 injections while on chemo? Are there any adverse reactions?

Dear leslieliu,

My husband gets one about every three months. His chemo is the Alimta. Thus far, he has not had any adverse reactions, thank the Lord.

My husband will be getting a B-12 injection today (first one). Next week he'll be receiving Alimta and Cisplatin. The treatment will be once every three weeks for three months.

You both will be added to my prayer list. With the Alimta, it is very important for your hubby to take Folic Acid, which is a vitamin . My husband also takes Dexamethazone the day before, the day of and the day after treatment. Please feel free to ask any questions concerning our experiences.
