new here suffereing extreme anxiety from withdrawa

Hi,

So I suppoce I am a love addict. My last relationship started to turn sour and I was upset while it was happening and when it ended is when I really felt horrible. Like because of her immaturity she didn't deal with shit like an adult and I would have forgiven her and taken her back but she decided to move on.

Anway I began to try the no contact thing and Ihave been experiencing pretty severe anxiety attacks like I am gripped by them for what sometimes feels like hours and can even last entire days. My only escape seems to be fantasizing myself out of paralyzing anxiety. Im not sure if this is normal? But it sure feels like hell to me.

im not sure what to do? I go on blah therapy and vent on there and that seems to help. I am trying to make some friends in the real world but I think they saw me consumed by anxiety a couple times and want to stay clear of me.

Do you know if you are a Love Avoidant or a Love Addict? Either way it sounds like you are going through withdrawal. I am going through the same right now. My focus has been on trying to stop myself from obsessing over the partner I am addicted to by taking care of myself. I do small things like going for long walks, eating healthy, setting goals for myself and taking small steps to accomplish them. I also go to 12 step meetings and therapy. At the end of each day I make a list of every small thing I did that was to take care of myself. I also frequently turn my phone off and have disabled my Facebook account to try and prevent myself from seeking contact with the object of my addiction. It does suck horribly though. I have a ton of anxiety and pain, but keeping my focus on myself, and working to release any attachment I have to the outcome of my relationship with the other person has been helpful. Even if I have to do it over and over again, minute by minute.

I am going through the same pain from last 2 weeks. Severe anxiety and panic attacks, high BP and racing heart beat. Sever meltdowns. I don't know what to do. No sleep from past 15 days. I am unable to concentrate on other things. My mind and heart is full of her thoughts. I hope you all are experiencing similar kind of pain.

Yes, your anxiety is a symptom of withdrawal from the person you are addicted to.

Also, sometimes we become addicted to romantic drama to distance ourselves from the real issues in our lives that would create even more anxiety if we were to face them!

I throw in a movie and fall deeply in love, become deeply emotionally involved with the actors and the characters they're playing in the story that is unfolding before my eyes. It seems to help with whatever anxiety I may be feeling.

There are some pretty deep, intense emotions in a romantic relationship, so it's quite natural that, in the absence of said relationship, you'll be feeling an emotional void and not sure how to fill it. Another good, deep emotional obsession seems to be the only way to handle it. Like I say, I throw in a movie and get deeply embroiled in the characters and their situation. Transports me out of my own head and heart and into someone else's.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
