Distance sucks

Hi. Well, I'm currently on a long distance relationship since 9 months ago. We've met 2 times since then, once for 3 days and other time for a week, which was the most recent. And well, its been around 2/3 weeks since he left and im just taking so long to get over it? Its so frustrating because he seems to be absolutely fine and living everything normal while i just keep getting so sad from time to time and keep crying. I wonder if anyone else can relate?

That's how I feel 100% of the time. We only recently started dating and we spent the entire week together last week but he had to move back to Texas and is now 1200 miles away from me. He seems totally fine while he is sober, but once he starts drinking is the only time he starts to miss me a lot. It's frustrating that he can go on just completely normal while I am stuck here missing the crap out of him.

I feel you, I don't know if it's because women are more emotional? or we maybe express our feelings or deal with it better than men,

I've never spent more than a week with my partner too. and I cry a lot and miss him like crazy. He rarely tells me that he misses me but I think he does.

I'm sure your man feels the same, you just maybe don't see it or he deals with it a different way. I try to keep myself distracted because we too should have our own lives outside the love bubble.

I understand. And I'm so sorry. The take away is that if he wasn't the one, then there is someone else out there that is even BETTER. You can get through this.

I can relate! But we only met a year ago....at a camp. That was when we first "Fell in love" He says he's going to come up next year...I'm worried if he wont.

I always cry about long distance, your not alone! I recommend and they may seem cringy, Pick a song. Like your guys song. It's cringy i know. But that's what we are doing, and i guess he's not using it in the same way i am. I listen to it and i just text him saying listen to it as well. It makes me feel better that were linked through the song.
