So.... I have met this guy. We're not acutally a couple and we don't know if we should be, if he just lived close there wouldn't be a question in my mind.

I can't wait to talk to him, but it hurts to talk to him. Especially when we talk about how it being us for real seems so...impossible. A couple of countries and a big fat ocean is in the way.

I'm not saying he's the love of my life, I dont know him well enough to say that. But I have never ever ever ever felt like this about anyone else.

He doesn't want to leave his dad, I don't want to leave my family. I can't do that to my parents, my nieces, my god child.

It just seems there is no solution, but giving up is to....I'm not ready yet.

Anyone that happen to know a cheap, preferably free way to commute between USA and Sweden??

Nope, don't know of any cheap ways to commute between the US and Sweden.

What I would ask is, what are the chances of the two of you being together permanently before I would move forward towards a relationship. It's not impossible for a relationship to happen with being in different countries but it will only work in the long run if one of you is able and willing to move to be with the other. If he's not willing to leave the US and you're not willing to leave Sweden, I honestly don't see the point in pursuing anything more than just an on-line friendship.

LDRs are hard enough but if there's no end of the LDR in sight, no definite plans of being together, I just couldn't commit myself to a relationship where chances are we're never going to be together permanently.

That's sort of my point.. It just suck that when i for once meet a guy that I really really really like he lives on another continent.

I was just bitching about it.

I agree with leather. And kind of makes me think about my own relationship. I kind of put my own self in the gallows with wanting to move even FURTHER away from the person with who I say I love more than anyone else, just because of schooling, but it's not like I can't ever see him or leave later on in another time. If he sticks around......................................................................................... And that's the kind of comittment you both have to make. Is even if you both end up in a LDR, that you both know you'll end up together. I know I want to end up with mine, but sometimes I don't always get the same feeling with him. You have to ask yourself that. For love, are you willing to risk everything and put more on the line, for something that can last an eternity.

But I agree with Leather wholeheartedly. If the pair of you aren't able to see an end in sight, then there really wouldn't be a point to enter into a situation you already know would cause you both more hard than good.
