My boyfriend of 2 years and I started doing long distance because of college a couple months ago. Things have been rough not being able to see eachother but our love for eachother made everything worth it. Recently he got a bit distant and started texting me less and less. I thought everything was okay until he texted me last night breaking up with me. He said the distance made him lose feelings and that he didnt love me anymore. I am so heartbroken. I cant believe someone who claimed they loved me so much can end things with me over text saying they dont love me anymore out the blue. I tried to convince him to wait and talk about things when he comes home for winter break in a week but he doesnt want to because he says hes just not feeling it anymore. I am so hurt and I dont know what to do. I love him so much and we've shared so many memories. I dont know whether to reach out to him when he comes home and try to talk things out.. or just accept that he doesnt love me and let him throw away 2 years of loving eachother.
The way he ended thing was cruel, and an easy way out. I wouldn't give him any more of your time if that's how he treats people. I know that can be hard to accept, but space away from him is what you need. I hope you feel better soon.
