Bringing in a filippina

I have met and corresponded for a while with a nice lady from the Philippines ..she is an RN and has one son..she is very supportive and nice....She is 32 and (gulp)..I am 61 ,,she knows this ,,has had two relationships or so she says ,,I have reason to believe what she says is true,,,,I have considered having her come here,,I have no relationship,,very limited friends, no family to speak of ,,,and I have some medical issues and no longer can work ,,she knows all of this ..It is a risk,,,but so is life all a risk,,,at at 61 given my situation doesn't really seem to matter all that much for a bad outcome..Most of the women I have known from that part of the world and I have known a few anyway..are worth their weight in gold (so to speak),, they are real, trustworthy, honest and loving to a tee,,and very very faithful which seems built into the culture...anyone have experiences that are similiar ??

No experiences, no..other than working with one for 4 years, I haven't ever known another Filipina woman. The one that I knew was very kind and faithful and everything, too..I wouldn't necessarily say it's a culture thing (I know plenty of Americans who are the same way and just as many who aren't), but it's definitely a good thing that you've found someone you can care so deeply about. As long as she knows about your age and your health issues, don't see fault on either side. If you care for each other and wish to try a relationship, I wish you both the best of luck.

Didn't you make numerous posts about this before in the past? Your story and username sounds familiar. If so, I'd suggest reading all the responses in those other threads first.

No big deal...we were just confused, is all.

How does she feel about coming over here? Is she on board with it? My only fear is that she's not just changing states..she's changing everything. It would be a huge adjustment for her. Moving is never easy, especially across big distances. Just try to keep that in mind so you can be there for her as much as possible during her transitioning time to the US. :)
