I was in a very short term relationship recently and apparently I'm the bad guy here. I did not know her previously before we started dating, and I felt smothered from the start. I assumed this was because the relationship had just started. Anyway I was out looking at a house the other day and she called asking me if I knew what day it was, I said "Of course, its Tuesday." Which was followed by her in shocked disbelief that I forgot it was our two week anniversary, actually the words she said, and we needed to do something special. I found this notion to be ridiculous and unwarranted, shame on me. I tried to explain that I was busy looking at a house to which she was again shocked she wasn't a part of the process for me to find a house to live in. I said "We've been dating for 2 weeks I'm not going to let you tell me what house to buy, and by the way the root word of anniversary is annual which means yearly. I'm sorry I'm busy right now I'll call you later." I could hear her screaming something into the phone when I hit the hang up button and muted my phone for the next few hours until I was done. She left 10 messages which started angry and turned apologetic by the end, so I decided this was not a good place for me to be, and broke up with her that night. Am I in the wrong here?
