Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...

I was a person who was always positive and could see the bright side of things even in bad times, I could get through rough patches fairly quickly. Now most days I just cry a lot. I am not on any medication nor do I intend to. I just need a new life...ha ha. I really need to vent, something I do not do really, so I am sorry this is so long... I feel as if I am another person.
So, hello, I am 43 years old, married and we have one daughter. My daughter is my life. She is getting older and beginning to do her own thing so shes not around a lot. She is almost 14 years old and a really good girl, she gives me no grief. I work from home doing office work, which I used to have a lot more of but now things are quite slow.
My husband refuses to work normal hours. He goes to work in the afternoon (his own business) and comes home at 6-7AM. He then sleeps till afternoon, gets up goes to work..on and on, every day like this for years and he sees nothing wrong with it. I know he is at work because I have called him at all hours and he is always there. He refuses to change these habits as he says he is at work and cannot do anything about it..when in reality he can, he just does not feel motivated to do anything else.
The economic situation in Greece has become very bad and even though we have a house and still have food on the table, we owe so much money in public insurance and from a loan, it is like we are drowning.
So right now he is sleeping and he will wake up and leave when my daughter comes from school. I see him an hour a day. To make matters worse... He has recently been diagnosed with Hepatitis C and it has a bad prognosis, leading to cirossis of the liver. He refuses to seek medical treatment, no matter how much I have begged. So far, he is still strong but I know what is coming.
I am a pretty independant person, I do not rely on people to keep me company as I am content on my own. I do not have any very close friends but I do know people that I am friendly with. Now I am alone for most of the day and nights causing me to be thinking about the future lately and how I am getting older and I am going to be completely alone one day soon. It has begun to eat at me and consume me.
My husband has given up before he starts to fight and I am scared. I am already alone most of the time but knowing what is coming, I just cannot see anything positive coming from that. For me to resolve looking online for help, while a big lump in my throat (this from a person who does not cry easily)...well, that scares me even more.

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

Those are strange work hours. Leaves me wondering what he can do during those hours at night. Maybe he is accountant which doesnt need to contact people and can work in quiet of night.
Hang around here we are friendly bunch and can support you in things you face.
You can have Hep C for many years without knowing. He found out when going to donate blood that he has it. He does not know how he got it. He is not a drug user but was many many years ago in his teens 20 something years ago.
He is not an accountant he is a mechanic and he works better with these crazy hours..
Thank you billwfriend. I love yoru dogs in the profile picture.
It's time that you concentrated on you and your daughter. It is really just you two in that family, if you look at it truthfully.
There is a Hepatitis C board here on D.S. and it would probably help you and your daughter for you to get on that board (below) and learn as much as you can to protect yourselves. Just click on the green link and it will take you right into the board.

Astimegoesby, you are absolutely right. I can't let go. I know that he is going to have some rough years health-wise and he has noone from his family or people to support him. Thank you for the HepC board referal, I have signed into that.
Violetmist, thank you for your welcome and hugs to you too.
