Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...
DO something!
Sorry if that does not help. Just know that you are not alone. We are all here for the same reason. We are lonely... someday it will get better!
Good luck with the ladies :)
I do not have the same challenges with anxiety as you seem to have, but really related to both the title and content of your post.
I feel lonely every day. I struggle almost every day.
No one knows. On the outside I seem so together. Inside, I'm falling apart.
All I -- and you -- can do is to not give up hope and keep moving, right?
Wishing you the very best.
Any way you can move to a large city??? It sounds like you've got to!
Living in a "hicksville" type place, charming as it may be, certainly is not a place where a transgendered person can thrive, I would think.
In college, my best and closest and truest friend was a male-to-female pre-op transsexual.
When we met, he was still a he on the outside, and then started wearing women's clothing and make-up. Also, the way we related to each other, was def. the way two women relate.
I supported her in every way -- going clothes shopping with her, putting on make-up, standing up for her in front of any of my other friends or anyone else who was not cool to her.
I even made sure my old-fashioned father referred to her as "she" and used her newly chosen female name.
And on and on. I did it gladly. For me, it went without saying that I would do these things. That's what friends do.
Alas, while praising me for my tolerance, she failed to display tolerance of her own -- and ended our friendship, simply cut me off, because I was a Republican. (Her liberal tolerance only extended so far, after all.)
It was a huge blow to me, and I suffered from the loss (and, what it seemd to me, betrayal) for many years. I am still sad when I think about it.
I hope you don't find my little sob-story tedious. I guess your comment about all your friends deserting you when you came out as transgendered triggered memories of my opposite experience!
I am truly sorry that your friends couldn't continue to see you for the person you are.
My heart goes out to you, it really does.
Would love to hear if you're job-hunting in other cities or what your plans are for the future. There are def. better places for you!
Hugs.
