Hello,
So, I have this terrible fear of being alone. Perhaps it is my borderline personality, but I have a fear of being alone. Now I find myself in relationships that are not healthy just to fill some sort of void in my life. I have recently found myself in another relationship where I am compared to other people, called ugly, and have to listen to what he wants to do with other people. He literally described what he wanted to do sexually with a guy we both know. It made me feel worthless. I'm so tired of being called ugly and not being good enough, but I can't shake this fear.
I know what I need to do. I need to get out of this relationship because it is unhealthy and hindering me from getting better. We are both dysfunctional people, but I am at least trying to get better. He isn't. I feel like I am moving forward with my life and he is still in the exact same place. Not only that I know I shouldn't be with someone who is always calling me ugly.
Today he used the excuse that he has PTSD and from his trauma he does not know how to act around people. I have PTSD as well and I have well enough sense to know NOT to call someone ugly... especially someone I am in a relationship with.
When I told him it hurts me to be called ugly he said "there is nothing wrong with being honest."
I'm just so terrified of being alone, but this relationship makes me feel even more alone. And now I'm friends with his mother and I don't want to lose her if I break up with him. I just don't know how to get over my fear...

This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

Thank you guys for the encouragement. It's so hard letting go when I'm so scared to be alone. But I'm really going to try to let go of this relationship. Thank you all again.
