This season, just like Valentine's Day just seems to magnify things. People who truly don't understand like to talk about "The special kind of loneliness" the holiday season has to offer. It isn't special; it is hellish and nobody should feel like this. What does it say about our society? Soon, it will pass and on to the winter doldrums. I kick myself for ever moving back to this region of the country. For six months, the sun seldom shines and it does a real number on my mood. You are not alone and I'm just a PM away.

I totally understand where you're coming from Heretic. I lost my part-time job six months ago due to my having panic attacks at work. I miss working and spend way too much time isolating at home. It's really getting to me. Hopefully the new year will bring solutions. Hope you feel better real soon......

I'm too afraid to build relationships. Scares me to death to care about somebody who I know will just end up leaving anyway. I'm very lonely but more afraid of being with someone. I'm paralyzed in fear.
