So I just moved from NY to SC and I know it will take a while to cope but I really hate not knowing people or having a job. I feel like I'm alone and have no purpose. I just want to be comfortable, have friends, and have a fulfilling job.

Give yourself time. Things will happen for you in the time they are supposed to. Once you find a job, it will be a domino effect. You'll then find friends , etc

try meetup.com and nextdoor.com....meetup is a group that posts groups of people who get together to do things from sewing to caving to biking to eating to whatever interest they might have like traveling or being single in the city....Nextdoor.com is a social network of the neighborhood you live in and that is fun too...Im making new friends right near my home....hopefully I meet a rich single older lady...LOL :0)

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon
