I'm feeling very lonely today. I went through a break up about a month ago and had to discontinue all contact with her a week ago since she was flaunting her new relationship in front of me and everyone else. I have no one and its really getting to me. I'm introverted, so making friends is difficult. And that is further exacerbated by the fact that I have a visual disability which isolates me even more. But as they say, I am really a nice kind hearted guy. I'm 45 living in a small college town, so available women for me to date are not particularly plentiful. At least I have my cat and she loves me, but it would be nice to have someone to talk to, on the phone at least, in person better, who would take time to get to know me.
Anyway, I needed to get that out I suppose. Thanks for reading.

i can totally relate to what you are going through. I moved back to the small town where I grew up, where everyone is either related, or has grown up together. It's like this mentality of, once you leave, you're no longer from here. So, people, while nice, are still distant. Not to mention, the "availability pool" here seems to be quite shallow as are most of the people in it. Seems like no one wants to take the time to get to know someone that doesn't fit into their little worlds. So, you either hang out at the bar, or church. Neither one is for me. I agree that a real person to talk to would be great. But, right now, that doesn't seem like a possibility for me.

i'm sorry that you guys are feeling so lonely. maybe put out an ad on craigs? or go to the local library to be around people. my mother has about 10 years on the OP and she's pretty lonely. I wonder how she does it, but she tells me she'll go out to eat by herself to be around people or go out shopping. or you could chat with some DS friends who are just as lonely.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
