Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...

Why is it, that I always feel lonely? I'm surrounded by friends and family however, I'm still looking for something. It feels empty and people always say that it's internal. I look for friends to talk to all the time but of course they have lives too. I also look for attention outside and sometimes it turns out for the worse. I don't understand it. And especially during this quarantine, I feel lonely.
Hope everyone is doing well!

I have toys. So the ones I have not used or need any more, are gone in the trash. One of my toys is just a regular hand held massager with an attachment. The other is a real insertable toy. This morning I ordered a new toy with attachments. It is small and has a brush like attachment and the other looks like a rose with a tiny tongue. I'll get it in about 2 weeks. Rechargable and...

It feels to me like an almost constant companion. I fear what others may see inside me, They are mocking and laughing at me. How can I feel comfortable with myself when so many of my waking hours are spent feeling disassociated with my own being. Being unsure of myself - of the decisions I make. No wonder I have a difficult time relating to other people. I mean for the most part I don't really feel like one of the guys when I'm with friends or coworkers, Unless of course I've got a good buzz on. Then I don't think about the differences- we are bonded in humor. Yeah... Laughter.
Being light hearted can certainly be elusive, and drinking to excess every day to achieve this state is definitely not working for me anymore, that is for sure.

When I was going through empty nest syndrome, that’s exactly how I felt. I was surrounded by my family and friends but I felt alone and empty.
I heard this from a sermon that there is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator. I believe this is true. When I am sad, or lonely, or afraid or whatever emotions I am going through, I feel better after I pray.
Now that we are going through a pandemic, it’s very normal to feel afraid or lonely. Continue to post. We are all here to uplift one another. If you think you need more help, try to talk to your doctor and tell him/her about your feelings. Stay safe. God bless.
I have been trying to look at the better picture, trust in the process that this will all be over someday, looking at what I should be grateful for and I try to keep myself busy. But, of course, sometimes this is easier said than done. We're only human, no where near perfect, and I still get restless or anxious and my mind wanders.
I hope we all get to fill that void of loneliness. For starters it feels reassuring to know that I am not alone in this and I appreciate all of you. Stay safe!
