My friends ignore me and i have had rejections all my life.
I try to talk to my so called friends but when they walk away from me i decide that its ok if no one wants to talk to me then i won't do it myself. But this has its own adverse effects.I really start feeling lonely and my mind become a hall of all the negative thoughts fome low self esteem to social anxiety.
So i am really confused.

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

I used to be much more confident in my friendships (and relationships in general) but in recent years I've developed some anxieties around close relationships. When I have feelings like yours I tend to question them because I am conscious of my own insecurities. If there is no apparent reason the the friend would be upset with me I assume it not me and that usually helps with the negative thoughts.
I also try to focus on the friend and see what could be causing his/her reactions other than me -- i.e. Stressful day at work/school? Death in the family? Problems with the significant other?
It's also OK to ask talk to the friend. Don't grill them or ask a million questions. If they say everything is good, move on. Insecurities are unattractive.
First of all, I haven't offer online supports for some years, so if you find the words are less comforting, my apology.
I can only imagine what manner of thing(s) that you have shared with your so-called friends. Either the matter was too sensitive or inappropriate, they choosed to ignore you, and a sense of lonliness remain as the result (I can only guess). But think carefully, was the topic being shared with the right person? In other words, were they worthy of the slightest initmacy or privacy of yours?
I used to think that the world in general is cold and sensless because no one was kind enough to talk to me. And for a while, I too thought negatively about human in general. But my mentor had shown me, that most of the time people are wrapped up with their own sorrow, and forgot about the fact that they may have met a number of individuals who are just as sad as themselves everyday.
Young man, people are changable. They ignored this time does not mean that they choose to ignore you forever. And if you want to find a true friend to share things with, do so with an open heart and ears. Listen and feel.
Lets not to dwell in the negative thoughts, there are still good people waiting for you to reach out. And when fate come by, you can surely find a friend for life!
Good Luck
