Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...
You may just need to move on-not physically because he is your roommate, but more so mentally.Venture out into new things/new interests and you will meet new people.
The only thing you can do -- and you can do this-- is not care. If it's possible to find a new roommate, that would make things easier for you. Possibly a little resentment is in order -- his new best friend was your friend. Why do they have to act like girls, with besties, and leave someone out?
Some of the behavior people get caught up in, at college and elsewhere, trying to impress their friend(s), pretty often these days, ends up costing them dearly. You're wishing you were more connected, but you may be glad at some point that you're more on your own.
I really believe that young adults have expectations that are often very different from their experiences. Maybe it's tied to the time and distance from high school, but the late twenties can be so much better than the early twenties.
Hope something was helpful and that you have a really nice day, tomorrow.

"You can't change how people feel about you, so don't try.
Just live your life and be happy."
I can identify with what you're going through. I often feel like people tell me how great a friend I am but dont treat me like they enjoy my company the way they enjoy others and leave me out of things, it hurts. I just try and remember the people i have around me that value me the way I value them even if its family or 1 or 2 friends. As fullfilling as being part of a group feels its also filled with politics that are unnecessary and stressful, its hard to exist among a group like that and thats ok. As you get older you'll find that the people that mean the most you are look at you the same.
I haven't had much luck in the friend area my whole life...so it's difficult to imagine having a best friend...although one would be so great!
So my only advise is to seek out those things that make you happy. However while doing those things you'll meet folks with common interests and with that develop sone new friendships.
