I’m so sorry for your loss.
You are not alone. There’s a whole community of people here in this group who understand and support you.
Try to think about all the happy memories you shared with your dog and let them fill you with joy. His spirit will live on forever in your heart.
Cry as much as you need to. Be kind to yourself. The pain you feel will get better over time.
It sounds like you have alot of love to share. It might help you feel less lonely if you get another one. Will you be getting another one?
God Bless
As for another one, I don’t know. Right now probably wouldn’t be the best time because I really don’t have the money to get one or know how much time I’m going to be able to devote to making sure he gets along with my cats. My cats, while I love them too, don’t have nearly the same bond with me as Zero did. They want attention sometimes, but most of the time want to be left alone.
We’re all feeling pretty lonely right now with this COVID-19 quarantine. Maybe you could spend time creating a beautiful collage in memory of Zero. There are also I lot of folks in this forum that could use some words of encouragement, helping others usually make me feel better. Call family members, enjoy a good movie or book. Not sure where you are spiritually but there are a lot on online church services, maybe attend a few and possibly find one you’d be interested in visiting when the stay at home order is lifted.
Are you in a position where you could get a new dog? Or a cat? That would help.
