I also believe that we do things for people because that is the kind of heart we have, not because we expect something in return. However, your friends sound very selfish and I just have to say that I would move on. You will always have DS where you can vent, you can cry, and you can ask for help. There will always be someone here to support you. Keep that in your heart.
Does your brother not have a computer so you can e mail back and forth? Or I guess some computers have a way to see one another when you talk. I think mine has a webcam but I don't know how to use it. A lap top would be really beneficial for a student.
And if it makes you feel any better, I too have a mother that I can't talk to. I am either called a liar, I don't know what I'm talking about, or she just likes to mentally abuse me. I don't have the privilege of hanging up on her because I moved her into my Mobile Home when I bought it. Please know you can post what you are going through, and not worry about what people think of you. If they don't agree with your life style, then it's best they don't say anything at all.
