Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...
Don't ever apologize for "dumping." This is the place to do it! You are free to whine with impunity.LOL We are here to support you, listen to you, and send you lots and lots of hugs and encouragement.
The people here are great! (I've had an issue about posting, but that has nothing to do with the caring nature of the people here.(
Do tell us more about yourself.
And I'll let you in on a little secret. Absolutely nobody has their act all together. Nobody! Everybody projects what they want people to see. We all have our challenges and struggles. We are all good at hiding them. You would be surprised by what you would find lurking inside your friends if you could get a glimpse inside their hearts.
Again, welcome to the loonie bin. Or the lonely bin. Get it?LOL
Well, I'm a freelance artist (emphasis on free- like no jobs) and a waitress. My boyfriend is a bass player in a rock band, so most of our free time revolves around shows and practices. I live with him and my roommate. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, a ball python and a bearded dragon. It's kinda crowded lol.
That's about it- I'm kinda boring. :)
How big is your python? Eeeeeeeeew.LOL
The dragon and the python are my roommate's. The python's name is Seraphim and he's about 2-3 feet now.
I hate snakes too. When I moved in I told my roommate that if Seraphim got out he might be a dead snake. I'm an animal lover, but snakes belong outside!
I'm an illustrator and graphic artist working freelance also, and finding the same thing "free." I have done a lot of work this year which often ends up voluntary or poor pay and means working on your own from home. Its hard to find in-house positions. I used to work inhouse but took a gap year travelling and am now beginning to regret it, full time jobs are few and far between in the uk, so have to freelance.
Most of my friends are in 'responsible' jobs now such as teaching, and seem to be either getting married, married, buying houses or having kids. I have no alternative at the mo but to live at my boyfriends family home. He is training to be a teacher too. working on your own all day, makes it difficult when you meet up with people in 'social' jobs especially when it feels they are all judging you as being 'a crazy artist.' I'm starting to develop anxiety in social situations and I can't seem to stop it, I've never felt that way before.
Anyhow, I just saw your post and it sounded a little similar to how I feel at the mo and I guess I wanted to say you're not on your own.
(my boyfriend is a keyboardist and pianist and was in a band up until recently)
