I am constantly down about not having anyone I am super close with, I have people I talk to at uni, but no one I can see being in my life in the long term. I feel like everytime I meet new people, the same situation repeats. I am super shy, and I am constantly down on myself about my personality. I have had close friends in the past from school but that faded, I just don't know when the next chance will be for me to meet new people. I just really want close friends more than anything.

Physical practices like yoga help us connect with this reality - life. Our breath is with us 24 hours a day and most the time we're not really connected to this vital force that keeps us going. The more we can become conscious of our natural rhythm, feel our breath mindfully then the chatter of the mind has no other option then to fade into the background and joy makes it's rightful appearance and then you become an expression of that joy, eyes become brighter, a furrowed brow releases, and your heart naturally feels lighter and connected for no other reason then the joy of life.
Friendships begin to manifest spontaneously, not from need, from shared appreciation of the simple joy of being.
Your longing is deeper then to have friends. It's to feel alive and connected in a healthy way.
