Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. My advice depends on your situation. Are you in university? What kind of exam is this? Is it possible to take the exam at a later date?
During university I had to have many exams postponed because of my depression. If you are seeing a therapist, he/she will be able to support you and help you communicate to your professors about your current struggles. I have taken incompletes in the past as well. This gave me ample time to finish my coursework when I was in a better state of mind to do so. You may want to consider this if your lack of motivation persists.
Another possibility is that you can wait it out for a day or two. Try to relax and focus on things you enjoy. You may find yourself in the proper state of mind to study after a couple of days of relaxation and reflection.
As far as feeling insecure about the future, you are certainly not alone in that respect. University is a form of delayed gratification. It can be quite challenging to experience but in the end you will receive your degree and have options available to you that may not have been attainable before.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Currently I am not in school or even working. I feel like a failure so often! I get a job but get bored with it, or dislike it, and I call in sick so often I end up getting fired. Even with jobs I enjoy. I don't know why I do this.
I need to grow up and be more responsible. I have bills to pay! Things I want to buy. Pets to look after.
But I just feel so lazy, crappy and like a complete failure.
I think everyone gets down on themselves from time to time. We need to learn that we cannot stay in a place like that. It will get us no where fast!
I can relate! You are not alone!
I think its just the way life is-A struggle.
