I am not totally certain why i feel this way for starters.
I know last week would have been my late husband's birthday. It follows the grand daughter's birthday the day before so kind of hard to forget or over look. I just figured it was due to being tired and trying to adjust to a new routine with school, etc.
Current hubby of almost 13 yrs drives OTR 5-6 days a week. He was home maybe 36 hrs before he had to take off and go again. It would have been kind of nice if he could have been home a little longer.
Today, I have both the grand daughters home with me. The 7 yr old plus the 16 mo old whom we are currently raising. The 7 yr old has been very bossy, sassy, smart mouthed, know it all, demanding, etc. We have her into counseling trying to get her some help with the unknown at this point. The school will do testing here in a week or so to try to narrow the possibilities.
Today we got into our usual tug of war...her not listening nor wanting to help....vs me asking/telling her to get a couple of things done. I get so tired of fighting with her. I am tired of her telling me what I will or will not do for her, etc.
So here i sit feeling blue, depressed, and very lonely. I try talking to hubby on the phone but it seems like he never wants to hear what is going on at home. I feel like I have no one to talk to any more. Yes I am on some meds that I take religiously and they do help. I just have times like now where everything seems helpless and hopeless. I have some health issues which makes it hard for me to walk or to move also.
Tomorrow is another day...just hope it is a better one!

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Do you think that maybe your current husband's road schedule is kind of an escape for him.? Maybe he likes going in the road to get away from the stresses at home, and then doesn't like to talk about it because it is just a reminder if what he left behind? I'm not saying his behavior us appropriate, but it might explain why he acts on the phone the way he dies?
In any case, take care and stay strong.
some of the demands. Maybe the counseling will help, too.
I hope you have a much better day, tomorrow.
Or perhaps a small allowance for doing her jobs?
I would ask about you tagging along with your husband on occassion.but with a small baby :( wouldn't be too easy..
