I feel your pain man, I really do. I've tried some dating websites myself but haven't had any luck. I would prefer to meet women in person, but I really don't go out much so that's why I usually resort to trying to meet them online. I don't know if you've tried any already but I'll name a few.

I hear e-harmoney had many marriages. They use personilites test to match you up with your ideal lover.

I heard tinder is good I've never tried them but I've tried a lot of dating sites and never worked for me but I also have a lot of trust issues

I never get anywhere with dating sites...try meetup.com which is entirely different than dating sites....you join groups that have common interests...,a bunch of singles groups exist there and they throw out events that you decide if you wish to go to or not...then you go meet the other members who chose to go and maybe meeting someone special would happen thru that site...I love that site and Organize a singles over 50 group in STL MO thru them until Dec. when I step down after year and half as organizer...

I have heard that the one Peter recommended is good also. I don't know because I have never been on one. There are so many of them. Such women are out there! Of course, if you fail to fulfill such a woman's physical and emotional needs, she'll drift away and pursue someone else too.

I'm not a big fan of so-called "online dating" sites, because women there are either:

A) Completely not interested.
B) Obsessed and ultra-criticizing perfectionists.
C) We both belch out our whole life stories and deepest emotions in print so that, when we meet in person, there's nothing to talk about and we've failed to establish light, fluffy, superficial physical attraction, sense of humor and conversational rythm.

I have better success talking with women in person, success in the sense of knowing right away whether she likes me physically and whether she "gets" my sense of humor, judging by whether she makes eye contact and laughs at my jokes.

Anywhere can be a "date": Standing in line at the supermarket, the bank, the DMV, even in the doctor's office waiting room. At the end of a brief conversation, if you like a woman, and get the sense that she likes you, ask for her phone number.

Ugh, online dating. I'm sure some guys have good experiences on there, but not me! Besides, it's a time suck. It's like a part-time job. I like what someone else said on his response to your note about meeting women in real life. That works better for me. It's too easy for women (well, and me too!) to reject someone based on their online photos and profile and whatever dimensions they see and don't like (height, weight,color, race, etc.). When you meet someone in real life she can assess the whole package and decide if she wants to go on a date -- and maybe then it eventually leads to her being able to see your package.

Im married right now (soon to be separated) but I have often thought about finding a woman who is clingy/needy too. haha! sounds kinda funny to say that we are both wanting a woman with those two usually undesireable qualities.


just a side note......is it just me or does anyone else notice that the women on dating sites are all obsessed with drinking wine?

I've used OK cupid and met some decent guys on there. Dated one for 6 months and just met another. Our second date is tomorrow. Stay away from Tinder imho. It's a vapid hookup site. Pof is hit or miss, mostly miss. And eharmony is a waste because no one actually forks out the money to join so you are sending messages in the wind.

If you're getting ditched you need to figure out why.

Getting a neurotic girlfriend won't help. Either she's permanently neurotic in which case she will make your life hell till you die; or she's temporarily neurotic in which case she'll wake up and leave you too.

If you want them to stay you have to figure out why they are leaving. If they didn't want to leave you they wouldn't find someone else.

This is kind of weird but my room mate meets and exceedes your criteria. She is extrmely non-judgemental, very accepting, very beautiful with lots of red hair and green eyes. She can't seem to find someone she can be passionate with or about. In return for her complete acceptance of you, and her total support, she will, and I say this honestly, she will be clingy and want your attention. She is very creative, has a fine job and keeps an immaculate home. She is a marvelous cook! Her own mac and cheese is the best in the region, no kidding.

I know all of this to be true because I have rented a room from her for almost nine years, and she is consistently this way. I truly believe that up here in the Northwest, she is a hidden resource. Her Craigslist connections are dreary, and all she wants to do is love someone and be loved in return. Just sayin"

P.S. she is not a perfectionist either. She is very accepting and loving. Also she is 55.
