Life After Divorce Support Group
This community is dedicated to starting over after a divorce. With the marriage over, how do individuals begin a new chapter in their lives and what hurdles do they face? Divorce is often one of the most traumatic periods in a person's life. Studies show it is the second-most stressful event in life, after the death of a spouse.
The divorce happened for a reason. Find someone else. You are looking at the past through rose-colored glasses and forgetting to focus on the reasons the marriage ended up in a bad state.
It's brutal, but I think you should focus on yourself, and when you feel ready, start dating (other people!) again.
So... how to move your life forward... start by NOT thinking of her!! Not easy, I know. But I think it's necessary.
Good luck!
Having different schedule is not the reason to stop loving someone.
Do something for you tomorrow.

I left him a couple of times during the marriage to push him to work on the relationship, this didn't light a fire under his a--! I told him often--We don't do anything together, we have nothing in common. He had no response.
My last proof to myself was telling him----Find a marriage counselor. Make the appointment, then tell me when to be there. He never did this so I knew it was time to leave.
After the divorce I never understood and still don't--How I could love him but not like him and still miss him!
I quickly got a second job in the evenings, something fun, to keep me from missing him and to prevent me from going back to him. I was spending a lot of evenings crying a missing him!
I knew something had to change to prevent me from going back to him.
I did more socializing.
Joined events at the Parks & recreation.
Took up dance lessons
Packed up all the past memories and trinkets in a box. When I got stronger, I threw them out.
Found a local socializing group and participated on outings and parties.
I pampered myself by cooking & baking special foods for me.
I spoiled myself and once in awhile bought a new color of nail polish, new socks, cologne, etc.
I got rid of the car and got a different one.
I focused on the present and not the past anymore.
I made sure to frequently keep busy with people until I learned to be by myself.
When you apply a variety of tools, then you will heal and feel like dating again.
Most of the battle is, YOU HAVE TO WANT TO HEAL AND MOVE ON.
Come up with a mantra to say to yourself every day and say it at the beginning of each day and say it like you want to change and believe it. Something like, I want to move forward, I want to change.
Go to your local library to get out, look at their magazines
Go out for coffee or tea on the weekends instead of having it at home or pick up a treat close by.
Look for reasons to get out to invite socialization
Look for someone to hang out with
Just like I said, he is not a fit for anyone on this planet. He got married again, she file for divorce.
The ex called me, at work, 7 years later and wanted to go out for coffee or tea WITH ME. My defense was, I'm moving forward and not going backward in life. I should have said, I only eat as a maintenance to my body.
