Life After Divorce Support Group
This community is dedicated to starting over after a divorce. With the marriage over, how do individuals begin a new chapter in their lives and what hurdles do they face? Divorce is often one of the most traumatic periods in a person's life. Studies show it is the second-most stressful event in life, after the death of a spouse.
By start reading inspirational books.
By meeting positive people, and making new friends.
By setting new goals.
By writing new journal.
"If all you can do is all you can do, and all you did was your best, then you are living your fullest".
You become a stronger person. You start discovering new likes....and dislikes. You discover new things about yourself. Even though you may feel that you are alone. Your not. Now you dont have to answer to anyone.....within reason lol. But now you have a newfound freedom. Freedom to do things and go places you couldnt before.
For me I have to save up $ to do the things I wanna do. But who doesnt?!
Overall things were rough and very depressing after my breakup. I wont talk about it but its all in my journal.
But I have already done things and eaten foods that I've never eaten before. But the biggest thing was finding love again. Finding a companion. Wasn't intentional nor was it expected. All I know is THINGS DO GET BETTER NO MATTER WHAT. You will heal, you will smile again. I couldnt imagine smiling again or being happy or just being confident anymore after the breakup. But once again......."all in time" are true and promising words. Stay strong friends.

Well, it's been two years since the initial seperation and a year since the divorce. I still have my up and downs, but overall, I think I'm doing much better. Life really does go on after divorce. The most important thing I have found through all of this is MYSELF. I like who I am and how I live my life.
I'm currently in school to get my degree and be able to fully support myself. Is it hard to juggle kids, a part-time job and school? Heck yeah! But you know what, I wouldn't change it for the world. I love being proactive in the improvement of my life.
I don't look forward to finding anyone else because I will never trust men again, but I do look forward to finding out what makes me happy.
