I've was married for 10 years and it's been a while since I've been with another woman. My question is, do you think that women would like it if I wink at them and blow in their ear, while rubbing their elbows? That's how I used to get chicks in the 80's, while listening to Duran Duran...

Haha...thanks for the advice, Gwinnie. Perhaps I'll just start with a smile and a hug...anyway, I'm nowhere near ready to date again. I need to get my life back in order first. Just using humor as a way to get this life back. Hope everyone is well.

Hey I understand if I didn't have a great sense of humor I wouldn't make it through most days. So I laugh a lot every day and I feel better for longer periods of time, heck it's easy be sad, no effort for that, right? Hope all is well with you.

Hey, when I was going through my dad's stuff in the garage, when I was a kid, I found an old wallet of his. This was all stuff from WW II. Anyway, inside this he had a stack of business-sized cards which said in big letters "THE PERSON HANDING YOU THIS CARD IS AN AIR RAID WARDEN" and then in smaller letters underneath "Lie flat on your back and do exactly as you are told".

So I ran into the house and said "hey dad, what are these" and he said "oh, you give those to girls"; I totally didn't get it at the time.

I am not separated or divorced yet and I just spent the weekend with someone who is. Wow! (my reaction to the older divorce dating scene) - I am NOT ready.

Ear blowing, winking and elbows? Goodness, you must have had sheer force of personality. Can absolutely see the Duran Duran bit. My recollection was receiving lovelorn hand crafted poetry shoved under the door (reaction: not a good vibe at all), a visit to the asian country I had run away to in order to escape attentions (and a father who past on my number at work because he thought it was hysterical). Nope I am an aftershave girl - invest heavily in the right smell, avoid each of high waisted jeans, a hairy nose, ears, eyebrows or bad breath. Decent blue shirt, no extras, rugby neck a bonus ....aaaah my twenties coming back to me LOL

I love your positive attitude. What I have always liked the most is ...sitting across the table from a confident man exchanging conversation. After an encounter like that, I would be ready for what you described. lol
