i have seen that the exact reason i lie is exactly what ends up happening to me. and when i get caught, it's exponentially worse than it would have been had i just not lied and acknowledged the situation. i know this is a daily process and i want very much to repair the relationships that i've damaged/destroyed through my lies.
my wife is a very truthful woman. as honest as the day is long - and i truly admire her for it. she has the strength to know that she's being truthful to herself, and at the end of the day, she's accountable to herself and if someone doesn't like hearing the truth, it's on them. I want to be this way - to stop lying about even in the smallest of things. because right now, she doesn't believe a word that comes out of my mouth. and that's what hurts the most. an i've brought us to this point.
it really sucks.
