Rings???

Hey evryone Sorry I am not around much right now. Been busy with school and remodeling the house. Any of you good at building come on by. I'll even feed you lunch.

Anyway here's my new question. I have decided I am ready to get my g/f a ring. How do I find out her size without being obivous? How do I even give it to her? I am not ready for an engagment But I want it clear to the world she is taken

Bless her heart she doesn't even notice whe she is being checked out.

In a rush but will answer your first question quickly. does she have any other rings? just grab those to use as measurement. and you can always give her a ring and then get it fitted later :) it doesn't always fit perfectly like in the movies

i would say to ask her to pick out a promise ring with you. thats what my grandma and her partner did.

Go jewelry shopping. Go to one of those vendors that are ubiquitous in the malls. Start trying on rings, and get her to try one on. Then make note of the size.

However, jewelry is very personal. Getting her input is a good idea. Does she know exactly how you feel? Have you talked about long term? Promise rings aren't a total commitment...but it does mean something.

She knows we are in this for the long haul. We have a rule that the word forever is never spoken. Also no "I will love you always" "I will never hurt you" The common promises a lover makes but seldom keeps. We both have said those words in the past and not ment them so we avoid them totally. Maybe be a little weird but it's us.

I told her in the very begginning that someday I wanted to buy her an Irish cladduagh ring(excuse my spelling please) She loves the idea my red head loves all things Irish. So we know the style and the material...(A silver) I just know nothing about sizes or how to present a ring.
