I will very bravely say amongst the supporters of what in this day and age offers us through technology.....IMO, unless you can touch and smell her; unless you can make meetings happen a few times a month and really see how she moves through life (ie: How she treats her family, friends, ..herself. What her Work Ethic is. What she does to herself and others when she crashes in depression. To visibly see and understand her unconditionally ~ including All Her Faults. To see how she takes care of her home, her pets. To see what she does with her free time ~ what really rocks her world. And how she Fits You as a Best Friend,...Etc., Etc., Etc.) ~ Internet Connections are Virtual. Imagination. Period.

I hit up AOL back in the 1990's..when you had to know how to get through the internet without Windows. I KNOW how powerful the internet is when it comes to mental stimulation. But, I will warn every single woman I know to be very, very realistic when it comes to these connections. If you can't make it REAL TIME on the internet.. get off the computer and find a real body that makes it real.

i will be one of the supporters here, i met my girl online and we are together almost three years..we weren't looking either... although i agree that eventually you need to be with each other for it to work, it is possible to meet the love of your life online. i wonder how i would have ever met my best friend, lover, love of my life, from 800 miles away, had i not met her online and connected that way. just sayin...dont rule anything out... and if it works...and you want to be together, nothing will stop you.

Supporter here, too. Of course it's just a way to meet, and then you move into the actual physical 'dating' portion of it, but it's actually really nice to get to know someone at least a tiny bit before meeting. Kind of like an intellectual attraction before physical.

My partner and I met online, as well. In fact, after the first night we spent together, I woke and was just staring at her, thinking how beautiful she was. She opened her bright blue eyes, smiled at me, and said sweetly, "You owe me $24.95" (the price she paid to be able to really email me off the site)! The rest is history! LOL

It's very easy to be charmed and charming on sites like that..., but it's a great way to hopefully click with someone first, as mental stimulation can generate even more amazing chemistry when you do finally decide to bite the bullet and meet up for a coffee or vino:) It's all trial and error, don't be too disspointed if you thought you were enjoying a fun exchange of banter with someone online and then all of the sudden they stop contacting you, as you might end up doing the same with a few others too..., there's plenty of choice and everyone on there has the right to chose for themselves.
